|Short name||SAINT MARTIN|
In a referendum held on 2003-12-07, Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy voted overwhelmingly to become overseas collectivities under Article 74 of the French Constitution. The change took effect on 2007-07-15. Formerly, they had both been communes of Guadeloupe.

Saint Martin has no known administrative divisions.
Saint Martin collectivity consists of the northern part of Saint Martin Island, all of Tintamarre Island, and other islets. Saint Martin Island is partitioned between Saint Martin and the Netherlands Antilles. (Dutch-speaking inhabitants call it Sint Maarten.)
The UN LOCODE page for Saint Martin (French part) lists locations in the country, some of them with their latitudes and longitudes, some with their ISO 3166-2 codes for their subdivisions. This information can be put together to approximate the territorial extent of subdivisions.
