On a trip to Japan and China, I observed a problem with the display of Statoid pages on computers set up for CJK characters. Accented (Latin-1) characters were being interpreted as the first byte of a two-byte character, and displayed as Chinese or Japanese. I inserted a meta tag into every page, specifying that the character set for the Statoids pages is ISO-8859-1. I'm not able to test whether it made any difference. Your comments would be appreciated.
